Research carried out by GIS software provider ESRI UK found that almost three in four of employers think the ideal future sales manager needs an equal understanding of both business and technology if they are to thrive in the sales recruitment sector and other industries.
The research also showed 90 per cent of HR leaders look for critical thinking skills in interviewees during the recruitment process, while 88 per cent believe that location is essential when they are on the lookout for skilled staff.
Recent data published by Antal showed that there has been an increase in sales recruitment from 54 per cent of respondents at the beginning of the year to 57 per cent.
