According to the latest survey of worldwide employers by Antal, recruitment is up from 54 per cent of respondents at the beginning of the year to 57 per cent.
In addition, the percentage of organisations intending to hire in the coming three-month period is up from 55 per cent to 57 per cent.
Antal's chief executive Tony Goodwin said there is a high level of demand for professionals and managers as companies and nations emerge from the global economic downturn.
He noted: "For chief executives and HR directors around the globe, the key business challenge is already shifting away from headcount reduction or containment to how to source the talent they will need in improving markets."
At the recent launch of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's Recruitment Industry Trends Survey 2009/10, experts predicted that recruiters will have to search for opportunities in a challenging financial environment as the economy eases through "a fairly slow, protracted recovery".
