According to research from consultancy Barclay Meade, part of Matchtech Group, top talent is what most companies rate as the most important element when using a sales recruitment agency.
The survey found that 61 per cent wanted recruiters to have the ability to deliver the right candidates, with six in ten requiring all-round good quality candidates and 55 per cent wanting the agency to demonstrate a knowledge of the market in which they operate in.
Furthermore, 53 per cent wanted the agency to be cost effective and to demonstrate client understanding, while 43 per cent sought excellent customer service.
A recent statement by the Association of Executive Recruiters, a group within the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, noted that the Comprehensive Spending Review "underlined" the need for fundamental reform in the way that staff are recruited and which candidates are chosen.
