According to the Association of Executive Recruiters (AER), a group within the Recruitment and Employment Confederation there is a "huge leadership challenge" facing all organisations, including those in the sales recruitment field.
Commenting on how executive search firms can help in the process, Derek Smart, chair of the AER said finding the right talent to drive the transformation agenda has to be one of the "immediate" post-CSR priorities.
"New ideas and approaches will be required. As well as harnessing untapped pockets of expertise and innovation within current structures, bodies will need to find ways of attracting new talent to work," he explained.
Recently, Richard Nott, website director at CWJobs.co.uk, said that there is a chance that public sector cuts as a result of the CSR will lead to more talented and skilled workers moving to the private sector, which includes sales recruitment roles.
