In two half-day workshops in London and Leeds this week, the REC is aiming to help members learn more about the impact the new rules will have on their business and enable them to inform clients about how they will change the ways agency workers are assigned.
Commenting on the initiative, Lorraine Laryea, REC solicitor and commercial advisor, said the workshops are intended to complement legal documents, client briefings and impact assessments handed out before the implementation of the AWR.
"The whole purpose is to fully brief members on the legal implications of the regulations and explain some of the more complex provisions so that they and their clients are fully equipped to deal with them," she added.
Scheduled to come into force on October 1st next year, the AWR initiative will impact on all members of the recruitment industry, including those in sales recruitment.
