November 2nd is the official launch date of the device on British shores, with Apple boss Tim Cook stating that it is "not just a shrunken down iPad" but "an entirely new design".
One of the main selling points about the iPad Mini is its nimble design. The gadget is just 7.2mm in width – "as thin as a pencil", according to Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple.
Meanwhile, the fact that the device is just 0.68lbs enables it to be half the weight of a standard iPad.
However, this weight and size shredding does not compromise on quality. The iPad Mini has a screen size of 7.9 inches on the diagonal, while presenting resolution of 1024 x 768 to enable all existing iPad software is compatible.
