Figures compiled by Handle show that there was a 40 per cent upswing in jobs growth in the media sector between January and February as companies become more optimistic about the employment market.
In addition, the figures showed that vacancies for marketing roles have increased by 20 per cent - something which highlights the need for workers with special skills, said Dominic Warman, head of Handle's marketing division.
"There is also a real demand for professionals with not only creative flair but insight and analysis - people who can really add value to the bottom line," he added.
It follows the publication of the latest Recruitment & Employment Confederation and KPMG Report on Jobs, which showed that the overall level of job vacancies in the UK increased at the strongest rate since April 2010 last month, with strong rises in both permanent and temporary staff placements.
