The Confederation of British Industry's director general, John Cridland, noted that business growth could also be given a boost through the measures unveiled by Mr Osborne earlier this week.
He stated: "Reductions in regulations on businesses and the promise of a faster planning system will provide relief to companies trying to take on staff and invest."
Mr Cridland went on to say that job creation might also be supported thanks to the chancellor's aim to cut the amount of red tape which firms have to contend with.
The creation of a competitive tax system is one area which the government is keen to focus on, according to ministers, with the education of the country's workforce also something it hopes to enhance further.
