Financial services sales recruitment to rise

The number of people being hired to fill sales recruitment roles and other positions in the financial services sector will rise in the second quarter 2011, according to the latest industry report.

A study carried out by Manpower reveals that the majority of private sector organisations expect to boost their recruitment in the next three months, leading to a "balancing" of the jobs market.

Mark Cahill, managing director at the analyst, said that people aged under 25 should note that there are "real opportunities" to be had within financial services, including sales jobs.

"These new jobs are not the high rolling stereotypical bankers. They are overwhelmingly back office and support positions - which are the engine room of any large organisation," he explained.

The report also revealed that organisations in the manufacturing industry have reported positive hiring intentions for the fifth successive quarter.

It comes after research carried out by InterQuest suggests that a downturn in public sector business is being "more than offset" by the private sector, with trading increasing and companies expanding, particularly in financial services.

As a recruitment provider to many of the UK’s major banks, mortgage lenders and building societies Aaron Wallis have a deserved reputation within Financial Services recruitment. Their dedicated FS consultants recruit sales professionals across Retail Banking and Financial Services including IFA's and Mortgage Broking.
