According to Mark Riley, marketing manager of My Job Group, the first Tuesday back after January 1st is traditionally the busiest day of the year for people going online and looking up new positions, such as those in sales recruitment.
He told the Recruiter that he expects today to be no different, as people look to start the new year with a new job.
"With many either simply happy to be in employment, or forced to stay put in 2010 due to the recession, we're expecting this year to be our busiest yet as the economy improves and more people start looking for new roles," Mr Riley explained.
His comments follow those of Martin Warnes, managing director of reed.co.uk, who recently said that the UK jobs market has grounds for optimism in 2011 as more positions become available, including those in sales recruitment.
