That is according to a new industry report published by CareerBuilder which showed that 73 per cent of UK employers are confident about the financial performance of their organisation.
In addition, 39 per cent of the country's hirers said they will add new workers in the next 12 months, including those in sales recruitment, with one in five planning to add full-time, permanent staff.
Tony Roy, president of CareerBuilder EMEA, said that the study highlights how companies are definitely hiring again, although at a "guarded pace".
"Our survey points to gradual, moderate improvements in the UK job market in 2011. We'll see more jobs added across a variety of industries, but it will still be a highly competitive job market," he explained.
According to the recent Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply UK Services Purchasing Managers Index, confidence among UK firms is gradually improving as the economic outlook becomes brighter.
