Coalition 'focused on growth and job creation'

The government has expressed its intention to drive growth and create jobs in the UK by expanding the planned New Enterprise Allowance (NEA).

According to the coalition, this will help to create up to 40,000 new businesses by 2013 and ultimately stimulate the economy.

In addition, there will be changes to the way in which information and guidance is provided to businesses, with an increased focus on improving small business performance, which may affect sales recruitment candidates.

Commenting on the plan, employment minister Chris Grayling said: "We will only get our economy back on track when we create a climate in which the private sector can grow and develop, creating jobs and opportunities for people across the country."

It comes after prime minister David Cameron stressed the vital need for jobs to be created in the UK during 2011 in order to boost the economy and called on enterprises to help offset the job cuts the government is making this year.
