Philippa George, director for Recruitment and Employment Confederation Wales, made the comments after new figures revealed that there has been a rise in the number of people in employment in the country, which could include those in sales recruitment.
However, Ms George explained: "Though our unemployment rate is still one of the highest in the four devolved countries, the onus is now on both private and public sector interests to continue working together to help more people back into work."
She explained that providing candidates with knowledge and expertise can help to solve this problem and ensure that more people are filling skilled roles.
Recently, improving UK job prospects was emphasised by data published in the Bank of Scotland Report on Jobs, which showed that the overall Scottish labour market improved once more in December, driven by faster growth in vacancies.
