According to the new Markit/Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) UK Services Purchasing Managers Index, output in the manufacturing sector increased further last month, which may bode well for sales recruitment positions in the industry.
Commenting on the report, David Noble, chief executive officer at the CIPS, said: "On the plus side, it's encouraging to see that business confidence for next year continued to improve slowly with the promise of stronger economic recovery."
He added that many sectors will be hoping there is a spill over from the "booming" manufacturing sector to further ease any economic worries.
