According to the results of the latest Reed Job Index, there were 13 per cent more jobs posted online in July 2012 than there were in the same month last year.
On top of this, the number of job opportunities last month is a 2.5 per cent increase on the figures posted by the Reed Job Index in June.
The analysis has provided good news for the regions of the UK hardest hit by the recession as well, with a six per cent rise in job postings seen in north-east England. The West Midlands also saw a five per cent rise in job opportunities.
Martin Warnes, the managing director of Reed.co.uk, stated: "The Reed Job Index has been reporting an improving jobs market since the third quarter of 2011 and it's great to see this positive trend continuing this month."
Results of the new Reed Job Index were revealed soon after the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's latest JobsOutlook survey found that 64 per cent of employers are looking to boost their permanent staff numbers in the next three months.
