Reed's latest figures show the number of permanent jobs taken during July was up 15 per cent on the month, with a boost seen across many sectors.
This has been driven in particular by property and construction and technology, which have seen major double-digit monthly increases, though education and retail have both also seen growth when compared to July 2011, the figures went on to highlight.
Cathy Dyos, regional managing director at Reed, told HR Magazine it is "positive news" that the permanent jobs market is faring so well.
"This rise could be a sign that employers are feeling more confident to actively invest in the future of their business or perhaps it is being driven by necessity, with employers looking for specific skill sets," she added.
Confidence is a major driver of economic growth, and businesses may be harnessing the boost from positive data and the feel good factor that has spread across the country, Ms Dyos added.
