A survey carried out by Workmonitor and seen by the Recruiter indicates that 75 per cent of employees currently feel that they could comfortably land a new sales job if they applied.
In addition, 68 per cent feel that they could move to another company but do a very similar job without encountering too much difficulty.
According to the report, confidence is particularly high among firms in Europe, as the effects of the economic downturn subside and companies begin to increase their recruitment drives.
Last week, data published in the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG Report on Jobs showed that both permanent and temporary placements increased in the UK last month.
The increase in recruitment numbers marking the tenth consecutive month of growth, according to the organisations' estimates.
