A new report by Leicester-based Gemini Forces shows that the organisation is anticipating a "surge" in the numbers of military personnel leaving the forces and entering the civilian jobs market after rumours that several British Army regiments could be facing the axe over defence funding.
According to Harry Dean, Gemini forces director who served in the army for 30 years, said several regiments could "pay the price" when the comprehensive spending review is announced in October.
"This could potentially lead to a huge influx of ex-military personnel looking for jobs in the civilian market," he noted.
According to John Salt, director of Totaljobs.com, it is essential that jobseekers are flexible in their approach to sales recruitment if they are to enhance their prospects of securing a position.
