At the party's annual conference in Liverpool, it outlined how public sector cuts and future skills needs were of "direct relevance" to the sales recruitment industry and that the use of apprenticeships could solve some of the issues facing the jobs market as a whole.
Fringe sessions at the event outlined how high-level apprenticeships could help to stimulate sectors such as accounting, financial services and engineering and received the approval of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).
Chris Richards, REC policy advisor, said there were some "extremely useful" debates, adding that the organisation supports specific recommendations such as the development of high-level apprenticeships.
"The recruitment industry will continue to be a major voice on future skills needs as well as on practical measures needed to rev up the UK's job creation machine," he added.
