The report also found that one in five recruitment searches are now carried out on mobile devices.
"There are huge opportunities for recruiters who specialise in a particular industry who are willing to engage with prospective candidates though the ever evolving range of digital channels available," said Les Berridge, public affairs executive of REC Technology.
He added that the ability to source, interpret and publish content will be king and recruiters need to be innovative to remain competitive.
