The research comes after the banking sector was criticised for its mis-selling of payment protection insurance (PPI), with the Financial Ombudsman Service receiving 135,170 new complaints, of which 85,562 - or 63 per cent - were about PPI in the first half of 2012.
Which? also found that 46 per cent of financial workers had known colleagues who have knowingly mis-sold products to reach their goals.
The British Banker's Association responded by explaining that staff incentives are now based clearly on customer service criteria
